Group Classes

My group classes offer small class sizes - (a maximum of 8 dogs). This allows for a lot of individual attention and coaching during the class. We focus on teaching your dog the commands and manners that help your dog learn how to be a well behaved member of your household. Basic classes address commands such as sit, down, stay, come, leave it and walking on a leash. I offer puppy classes, adult dog classes, advanced classes, agility for fun and K9 Nose Work®. All classes must have at least 3 signups or may be postponed.
Livermore: Classes are held at Livermore Country Pet Hospital located at: 2110 Greenville Rd in Livermore.
Pleasanton: NOTE: I am no longer teaching classes in Pleasanton. Cheryl Johnson-Collett now teaches these classes. Please contact Cheryl Johnson-Collett at: (510) 209-9122

Please bring proof of current vaccinations including DHLPP and Rabies on the first day of class. Families are welcome to attend. This class meets outside and will be weather dependent. • Intro to Nose Work - Have fun teaching your dog how to use his nose!
For dogs 5 months and older. Class is 1.5 hours in duration. Cost: $150 for 6 week class ($120 for previous Tell a Tail Students)
Dogs have an amazing sense of smell and a natural desire to hunt. This class focuses on teaching you how to encourage and develop your dog's natural scenting abilities by using their desire to hunt and their love of toys, food and exercise. It is a great class for your dog to have fun, build confidence, and burn lots of mental and physical energy and to find out just how good your dog's nose is. High food or toy motivation is beneficial for this class.
    • Dogs in this class must be capable of handling confinement, either crated away from their handlers or in a properly equipped vehicle.
    • Students must have instructor approval to take this class. Approval is based on your dog's motivation for food or toy over distractions. No obedience or manners required!
